We picked up the Casita this morning and drove to Matagorda, Texas.  This is the first day of the yearly Matagorda Madness Rally.  We set up camp in the parking lot of Matagorda Bay Nature Park.  A few of our friends were already there.  At night we had a beer swap with snacks in the meeting room.  Afterward we sat around Blair's portable fire pit.

11/29/18

This morning we have a flat on the Casita.  After changing it, we moved to our site in the campground of the park.  Jim and I went for a walk on the beach. Tonight we had sip and dip at the meeting room.

11/30/18

President Bush died today.  A bunch of us girls went into Matagorda and did some shopping.  Jim and I went for a walk on the beach and picked up sea shells. Tonight we had a pot luck dinner in the meeting room.  Afterward we had a fire on the beach.

Jim and I walked on the beach today.  The nice thing about camping here is the walk every day at the seashore.  Tonight we went to eat at Spoonbills with some of our friends.  Afterward we had another fire on the beach.

Today after going for a walk on the beach, we moved back to the parking lot.  We need to get a new tire for the Casita and Discount tire isn’t open on Sunday.

Today we left Matagorda and drove back to Houston.  Discount Tire didn’t have what we needed so they ordered the tires for us.  We took the Casita back to storage and when the tires come in, we will take it back.
